We are dedicated to providing funds and support for projects to feed, clothe, and educate destitute Haitian children. H.E.S.P. was established in 1981 and has not missed a year of supporting destitute children in Haiti since conception.

2010 | Traveled & supported over 6,000 children & adults after earthquake
2014 | Provided funds to build and furnish a new school cafeteria. Partnered with Lion’s Club International for vision clinic in Pilate, Haiti and 1250 people were given new glasses. Served as conduit to build a new house for needy family in Plaisance, Haiti
2015 | Partnered with Lion’s Club International for vision clinic in Plaisance, Haiti and 1550 people were given new glasses. 2016 | Funded a water generator to produce cleaning drinking water for the community of Pilate, Haiti. Raised over $20,500.
2018 | Partnered with Lions Club International to examine and fit 762 people with glasses. Ages ranged from young children to 102 years old. Location: Cap-Haitien, Haiti.
2018 | Held outreach at Bethany School in Cap-Haitien, Haiti. Over 100 dresses, medicine, toothbrushes, toys, and school supplies were distributed to students and teachers.
TBD | Efforts to help fund and support “Toilets for Tots” for Bethany School in Cap-Haitien, Haiti. This will enable children and teaching staff to have a sanitary and healthy environment to use the restroom along with updated plumbing to properly flush waste.

Approximately 30% of children attending primary school will not make it to third grade; 60% will abandon school before sixth grade.
Less than 20% of schools have electricity; 39% have portable water; 15% have a library.
37.9% of the population is unable to read or write.
